Prof. Shanna Greene Benjamin awarded an honorable mention for the MLA Scarborough Prize

Prof. Shanna Greene Benjamin’s, “Half Life in Shadow: The Life and Legacy of Nellie Y. McKay,” has been awarded an honorable mention for the Modern Language Association’s 2022 William Sanders Scarborough Prize. The William Sanders Scarborough Prize is awarded for outstanding scholarly study of African American literature or culture.
