Podcasting Romance: Race and Dating in the University

In the spring of 2026, Professor Eshe Sherley collaborated with Wakerspace and the Freshman Year Seminar Program to produce a podcast focused on dating at Wake Forest.

As a part of the seminar, students read about feminist definitions of consent and the history of dating in the United States and at Wake Forest. Students also learned about audio storytelling.

They brought these elements together to produce four episodes of our class podcast on the themes of their choice. Two of those podcasts are presented here. Enjoy!
